FUNCTIONAL STRENGTH

"Functional strength" will focus on strengthening and improving endurance in the core, lower body, and upper body, while incorporating balance, stability, and cardiovascular training. Exercises will be multi-segmental to simulate everyday movements that can improve everyday function, mobility, posture, and strength. Many of the exercises will involve body weight, kettlebells, medicine balls, and exercise bands. The class will not involve any plyometric (jumping) activities and is safe for those returning to fitness activities after an injury.
